Torch Dance Collective (TDC) was founded on February 24, 2018, in Baltimore, Maryland, initially as a series of heels classes. By October of the same year, it quickly transformed into a thriving dance company of 40+ talented dancers, specializing in heels, hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, and more.

At TDC, we offer our dancers opportunities to perform at prominent local events throughout the DMV area, as well as at our annual and semi-annual showcases. But beyond dance techniques, we are committed to nurturing the growth of each dancer. We focus on instilling professionalism, industry knowledge, and confidence in all of our students—whether they’re taking a drop-in class or performing as a company member.

Torch Dance Collective is more than just a dance company—it’s a supportive family. Our mission is to provide a safe and encouraging space for dancers to thrive, while also expanding performance opportunities within Baltimore. Through our work, we aim to ignite the inner flame of all who join us, fostering a community of passion, creativity, and growth.
